Kindred Samhain
SCIRE ended the convention tour of the UK at Kindred Spirit Paranormal's first ever paracon; Kindred Samhain.
Hosted at the historic Walworth Castle Hotel in Darlington, the weekend was packed full of talented and well informed speakers, unique vendors and some interactive spiritual experiences to be engaged with
Andy hosted the first Workshop of the day on Sunday, focusing on how to control a location and avoid some common traps when trying to capture evidence o the paranormal.
The workshop also included another live demonstration of the Hartley Method, which produced unusual results and information

Tettenhall towers Humans Vs Tech experiment
United in Paranormal and KII Paranormal hosted in unique investigation at the unique Tettenhall Towers in Wolverhampton.
Cutting edge technology and techniques were matched against individuals senses and extra sensory perception. Andy from SCIRE was asked to lead the Tech team, part of the Tech teams night was focused on continuing to explore the Hartley Method which obtained some unexpected results.
A high voltage negative ion experiment lead to some strong communication and a Singapore experiment session resulted in drilling down a preference for 1880s music, matching the locations history perfectly.

Lost Soul Paracon
It was the first Lost Soul Paracon and it has started strong! With a huge attention to detail and a good deal of art deco charm, the glittering speakers, workshops and vendors really gelled together to make a convention experience like no other.
We held a stall for two days and opened the event with Andy hosting a Workshop which featured a live example of the Hartley Method. This new experiment devised by FX Paranormal combines structured questioning and sensory deprivation.
The Hartley Method kit will soon be available in our shop and provide you with all the materials required to explore this fascinating study in your own investigation.

The Festival of the Unexplained
It was our second year at the Festival of the Unexplained, which unfortunately might be our last as the organisers aren't currently planning on hosting one again in 2026.
Despite this, everyone there threw themselves into the event with passionate speakers, intriguing stalls and also live action horror characters wandering around causing mischief and mirth.
Andy gave a talk on how to back up your captured paranormal event evidence and about proving debunking rather than assuming anything.

Parameet Hinckley Sketchly Grange
Going to a Parameet is like visiting friends who you don't see as often as you should. It was a fantastic weekend and Andy gave his first talk at a Parameet on getting the most out a location.
The speakers were fantastic and the breadth and diversity of the stallholders is always a marvel. Already looking forward to Parameet 2026!

Talking at the Oakraven Paranormal Retreat
KII Paranormal led by Paul and Lin Purchase and supported by the amazing Russ Bevin hosted a paranormal retreat at the Oakraven Field Centre in Gloucestershire
The days were filled with engaging workshops and the evenings with very dynamic investigation experiments! Andy Guy ran an open discussion on investigation techniques and shared some data based findings!
Hopefully KII put together another weekend like this next year, and if they do it would be well worth your time if you can get to it!

We had a rare chance to join the UFO, Paranormal & Spiritual Conference 2025 at the Usk Lighthouse in Newport, Wales.
Thanks to Danielle Sheahan for setting up the convention in such a unique location!
We took along our investigation devices and got some cross-interest across the paranormal spectrum, then Andy Guy presented his ongoing research into anomolous phenenoma.

With three days of conventions, we started at the monumental Parameet 2025 in Hinckley!
Thanks to Neil & Julie Packer as well as all the Haunted Antiques Paranormal Research Centre staff who helped keep the event ticking along like a haunted clock!
As is tradition, we have brought along new devices to exclusively launch at the Parameet.
This year is no different, with three new unreleased devices available on the day!
We spoke with friends new and old, and I'm sure everyone will be back for the second Parameet this year in September, where Andy Guy will be first speaker on the Saturday!

SIZMO II launched!
We are very pleased to announce that the SIZMO just got even better in the new and improved SIZMO II!
It uses a revolutionary vibration focusing chamber within the device to capture even the smallest of vibrations, the Sizmo II improves on the original with a heavier counterweight which improves the sensitivity of the device.
There is a completely new function, a knock counting mode you can use for communicating using taps or knocks!
When the Knock-O-Dial is turned to the left, the Sizmo II will act as a vibration alarm, lighting purple and providing an audible tone.
When not all the way to the left, the Knock-O-Dial puts the Sizmo II into knock counting mode. It will provide a Green Alert if it detects one knock and a Red Alert if it detects 2 knocks.
The knock-o-dial controls the period the Sizmo II will wait for that second knock. If one knock is recorded during the time period set, it will only light up green at the end of that time period, as it was waiting for a second knock.

Not of this Wold at Louth Town Hall on Saturday April 12th
2025 is going to be an exciting year in the paranormal field, there will be more opportunities than ever before to come together, share our experiences and learn new things as a number of new conferences are starting up all over the country.
SCIRE will be at a good number of them and we've been busy over the winter period getting new and exciting equipment ready to debut at these conventions.
Our first this year is the Not Of This Wold event at Louth Town Hall on Saturday April 12th. If you are in the area, we'd love if you could drop by and have a chat.
The day is divided into two parts:
Strange Encounters
The daytime events run from 10am until 4pm.
There’s a weird and wonderful market taking place in the ballroom where you will be able to find everything from art prints to ghost hunting equipment – open to all, no ticket required.
During the day, as you browse the market, there will be live haunted electronica performed by Linoleum Department.
Three talks of an hour each are also scheduled during the day – at 11am, 12.30pm and 2.30pm.
You can purchase tickets for individual talks or get a ticket for all three.
Dark & Dissonant
As darkness falls our evening presentation begins at 7pm with a performance of The Filing Cabinet of Fear from The Occultaria of Albion. A show which explores the paranormal case files trapped within a possessed piece of office equipment.
Following the filing cabinet will be a screening of Penda’s Fen, by David Rudkin and directed by Alan Clarke.
Rarely shown since its first television broadcast in 1974, this is a strange, mystical and magnificent piece of pastoral horror.
It will begin with a short introduction by Dr Diane Rodgers from Sheffield Hallam University.

BIB Paranormal did a fantastic job in pulling together so many interesting people in the Paranormal field into one building!

ParaMeet24 South was fantastic!
Hosted by Neil Packer and the team from the Haunted Antique Paranormal Research Centre and Ghost Planet Network, the weekend at Leigh Park in Bradford Upon Avon was a roaring success.
It was amazing to meet so many other people passionate about the paranormal and the sharing of knowledge, experience and ideas at the event benefitted all who came.
We are really looking forward to ParaMeet Midlands at Sketchley Grange Hotel in Hinckley on 29th-30th June.

Introducing our new interactive display which allows you to manipulate temperature, air pressure, magnetism and vibration to be able to see how the SCIRE environmental equipment really functions.

We have launched on our store a handy new item designed to help keep kit boxes more manageable! The KitBox Battery Buddy!
This battery organiser should fit in most kit boxes snugly and prevent batteries shorting themselvees on other equipment!

The number of prototypes getting close to release is increasing! We are working hard at the SCIRE workshop to release these into the field and needed to make it easier for people to get the information they need about them.
To support this increased range, we have now setup the equipment on a new shop section! You can find it using the SHOP option on the main menu.
Next job is to get the new G-Freq paranormal filter on there, which we are going to be doing in the next few days!

We had an amazing weekend at Parameet 2023, catching up with old friends and making new ones. The organisers are aiming to host THREE Parameets next year, in the North, Midlands and South.
